Christmas Bonus at Kaffetrykkeri, Stavanger, Norway

In this project I seek to reflect on traditions, consumer behaviour and what Christmas means to our society these days. Advent used to be a time of expectant waiting and preparation for the celebration of the Nativity of Jesus at Christmas. Is that still what we’re celebrating today? Why can Christmas feel transactional at times?

My work often includes mass-produced materials with a focus on packaging. In this work I use clothing tags I’ve collected over the years.
